Kazakhstan offers its satellites to Guinea-Bissau – Minister Madiyev

Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev revealed what agreements Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau plan to sign in the field of IT, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“As part of the visit of the President of Guinea-Bissau to Kazakhstan, the ministry plans to sign a memorandum with its counterpart, the Ministry of Transport and Digital Development of this country, on joint development of IT products, said Madiyev adding that the Kazakh side also plans to present its developments in e-government.

“We will also present today Ghalam assembly-testing complex during the visit to Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary. We will demonstrate our potential in assembling satellite technologies. This year, we started promoting our satellites for export. You probably know that we have already signed an agreement with Mongolia. This is the first export of a satellite in the history of Kazakhstan. And we offer our satellites to other countries from different regions, including Africa,” he noted.

The delegation of Guinea-Bissau is expected to visit the Astana International Financial Center.

"We will demonstrate what institutional reform Kazakhstan has carried out in the implementation of the AIFC, its institutes, the International Arbitration Court, the exchange and the regulator. All these entities and achievements will be presented today,” he added.

Earlier, it was reported that Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, at the Akorda Palace.
