Kazakhstan to invest KZT 27 trillion into industry sector of Mangistau region
Eight large projects worth 27 trillion tenge will be developed in Mangistau region, governor Nurdaulet Kilybai told a press conference at the central communications service, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The key directions for the development of the region are the processing sector, tourism transportation and logistics, small and medium business, and agro-industrial complex. He said for the last five years, the region attracted some 4 trillion tenge in investments. The region plans to fulfill 42 investment projects worth 666 billion tenge in 2024-2026. It will create 1,800 jobs. 14 projects were commissioned this year, and 435 new workplaces were generated.
He said eight large projects up to 27 trillion tenge will be implemented in the region, including the hydrogen plant to be built by SVEVIND Group with a capacity of 2 million tons of hydrogen per year for export.
As earlier reported, Governor of Mangistau region Nurdaulet Kilybay has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the region’s major oil companies on support of local agricultural producers.
