Prime Minister Bektenov sets several tasks to new minister of national economy

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov introduced the new head of the Ministry of National Economy, Serik Zhumangarin, to the staff, Kazinform reports.

Olzhas Bektenov thanked former Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov for his work and wished success in his further activity.

The Head of the Government assigned the new minister with a number of tasks.

He said the ministry must focus on fulfilling the President’s instruction to ensure dynamic economic growth, to enhance the work on structural changes in economy, and to increase the effectiveness of budget and tax policies and the level of forecasting budget parameters.

Besides, the ministry was tasked to carry out balanced policy of business support and tariff regulation to ensure economic growth in priority sectors.

Earlier, the President decreed to relieve Nurlan Baibazarov from the post of the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Economy and appoint Serik Zhumangarin to this position.
