State Counselor Erlan Karin holds meeting to discuss interethnic accord issues

State Counselor Erlan Karin has held a working meeting devoted to discussing the issues of strengthening interethnic accord, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Akorda press service.

Those participating in the meeting were the representatives of the structural units of the President’s Executive Office, central government agencies, as well as the governors of Almaty and Zhambyl regions

The participants reported on the current work of strengthening stability in the field of interethnic relations, interaction with civil society institutions, state information policy, as well as the implementation of the principles of the Law and Order ideology initiated by the Head of State in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the meeting, Erlan Karin assigned a number of  specific tasks to the responsible government agencies on the priority areas of domestic political work in ensuring interethnic harmony and unity for the next year. 

On December 6, the State Counselor chaired a meeting of the Commission on the Fight against Corruption. The meeting focused on the implementation of the OECD’s 5th monitoring round of the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan.
