What initiatives of Ulttyq Qurultay were implemented in 2024
At a meeting with the Ulttyq Qurultay (National Congress) members, State Counselor Erlan Karin summed up the key results of the work for 2024, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Akorda press service.
According to him, the Ulttyq Qurultay members held workings meetings with the public in the East Kazakhstan and West Kazakhstan regions. A separate meeting was held with the members of the Qurultay representing regional public councils.
Speaking on the initiatives of the Qurultay, Erlan Karin reminded of the adoption of a separate plan consisting of 40 items after the 3rd meeting held in Atyrau. He highlighted that most of the initiatives have already been implemented.
The State Counselor especially noted the schools’ updated upbringing program, based on national values.
Minister of Enlightenment Gani Beisembayev informed the meeting participants about the interim results of the unified upbringing program "Birtutas Tarbiye" being implemented at schools since September 1, 2024. Children's Ombudsman, Dinara Zakiyeva, spoke about the measures taken by the state in the field of protecting children's rights.
As part of cultivation of national values, a number of state and public projects and initiatives in the field of science and education, culture and onomastics were implemented within the year.
This year, the Parliament adopted and the President signed a number of important laws on ensuring women's rights and children's safety, combating gambling addiction, combating vandalism, and banning vapes. The Law on Combating Drug Trafficking was adopted by the Parliament and submitted to the President for signature. All these laws were developed with the active involvement of the Ulttyq Qurultay members.
Erlan Karin told the participants about the results of implementation of the four large-scale infrastructure initiatives of the Head of State, announced by him at the 3rd meeting of the Qurultay in Atyrau.
The State Counselor noted that the Ulttyq Qurultay has become an effective dialogue platform and one of the key centers for the public agenda formation.
Earlier, in September, Erlan Karin had a meeting with the members of the Ulttyq Qurultay from the regions.
